Shoreline Transfer Program

Jumpstart your transfer process by becoming part of the Shoreline Transfer Program and working with others who have successfully navigated their way to the University of California. Being a UCSC Shoreline Scholar is a great way to gain experience, increase your academic and social confidence, and transfer to a four-year University 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be Formerly Incarcerated or System Impacted
  • Must have at least 6 months remaining until you graduate
  • Must be a confirmed enrolled student at your Community College

We support building a prison-to-school pathway through recruitment, retention, and advocacy. Our goals are to create paths into higher education, provide transitional support, and create opportunities for students that identify as formerly incarcerated. Our efforts are rooted in the fundamental belief that higher education should provide the foundation for creativity, critical thinking, personal and professional development, and the means to achieve these and more.

 

 

Through Our Shoreline Transfer Program You Will:

  • Gain Employment Experience & Skills in Higher Education
  • Earn Money While You Go To School ($500-$1000 Stipend per Semester)
  • Get One-on-One Support With Your UC Application, TAP Application, & TAG Application
